A core part of this project (and what sets it apart from other simple PSU builds) is the software. I am planning on including software to support calibration of voltage setpoint / readout and current limit setpoint / actual current readout. Last night I started work on this, and things are coming along nicely.
Communication is over USB, using a Raw HID protocol, so that no drivers will be needed.
There are a few things left which I want to test (both in relation to this software calibration as well as some other aspects of the project); once I am happy with how it is working, I will go ahead with the PCB order.
