I've done some field testing and the POD seems to be working, although there's still a fair bit to fine tune. If you want to take a look at the results I've uploaded the log files here:
So far there are 2 tests, the 1st was done at Castle Ring, on a particularly foggy Sunday morning. Both snapshot and timelapse modes were tested, but the timelapse mode took a few tries to get it to stay on. It turned out I hadn't enabled the pull-up resistor for the stop button, also the timing had some problems, so both of these issues are now fixed.
The 2nd test was the 2015 Eclipse. There's no photos on this file, but the sensor logs show the conditions 1 week before, 2 days before, and during the eclipse, with about 4 hours of data at 10 second intervals per scan.
