Status so far:
1. prototype PCB now runs on the Pi, driven by a (slightly) modified version of the simh emulator.
2. critical concepts proven: that a real-time process on the Pi can drive the 92 leds/26 switches without additional ICs etc. That simh lends itself to low-overhead integration of GPIO registers to drive the front panel.
3. To do:
-- ensure switches behave exactly as on a real PDP-8/I.
-- Produce acrylic front panel from art work.
