My first electrical project using an arduino yun and a gevalia coffee maker (two travel mugs, no pot). This is a personal proof of concept, mostly to prove to my wife i can do this without starting a fire, and so a better coffee maker would be a good investment.
the coffee maker is a Gevalia WS-02A, procured for goodwill for $10. A decent find, i think. The board is an Arduino Yun, i procured from...sources.
the basic premise to run a minimal server on the yun to control the coffee maker over wifi (and later bluetooth) via a terminal or android app (using the MIT app inventor). I've never done hardware before, only software, so this should be interesting.
We are currently preparing to move to a new apartment so this may take a while too launch. I'm looking at other coffee maker projects for inspiration at the moment.
