- Video. Create a video, no more than two (2) minutes in length, that shows the prototype in progress (i.e., what works, what does not work, what the Participant wants to improve). The video does not need to be "studio quality." Upload the video to YouTube or Youku and tag the video with the keywords: HackadayPrize, quarterfinals.
- Project Profile. On the Project Profile:
- Link to the video
- Update and add detail to info entered at the Entry Round stage
- Show at least four (4) Project Log updates
- Link to any repositories (e.g., Github)
- Post a system design document, including a preliminary components list. The system design document should show what is working and what the Participant is building toward
- Document all open-source licenses and permissions as well as any applicable third-party licenses/restrictions
- Semifinals (Stage 3) (By 1:50 p.m. P.D.T. on September 21, 2015)
- Video. Create a video, no more than five (5) minutes in length, that shows a near complete prototype (i.e., what works, what does not work, what the Participant wants to improve). The video should describe the problem it is solving and demonstrate how it facilitates the solution. The video does not need to be "studio quality." Upload the video to YouTube or Youku and tag the video with the keywords: HackadayPrize, semifinals.
- Project Profile. On the Project Profile:

- Show at least eight (8) Project Log updates
- Post a near-complete (at least 90%) components list
- Post videos of your prototype in action
- Post an artist's rendition of the "productized" design/look and feel of the project
- Finals (Stage 4) (By 1:50 p.m. P.D.T. on October 26, 2015)
- Video. Create a video, between five (5) minutes and ten (10) minutes in length, that shows a completed, working prototype with a market-ready product design/look and feel. The video should describe the problem it is solving and demonstrate how it facilitates the solution. The video does not need to be "studio quality," but it should "sell" the project to non-technical viewers. Upload the video to YouTube or Youku and tag the video with the keyword: HackadayPrize, finals.

- Post a components list that is complete with a bill of materials for one unit
- Post reproducible build instructions
- Document complete schematics
- Post high resolution photos of the project inside and out. Include Gerber files (req – RS274 / RS274X), STL files (opt), netlist (opt), nc drill files (req – human readable), ODB++ (opt), STEP (opt), PCB files (opt), or any other design files

- Complete all Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 requirements.
- Use the "Submit-to" button on the Project Profile to Opt-In for the Best Product prize competition
- Three (3) working beta test units must arrive at Sponsor's shipping address by this cutoff date. Units should be shipped to the following address; two of the units will be returned at the end of the Contest.
