Produce Fuel for Engines, Heat, Cooking, Light & Purifying. Modules recycle locally-sourced materials.
With all Modules in Operation, this Portable Project Can Produce:
-Gas to run an internal combustion engine, such as a vehicle or electrical generator
-Gas or wood flame to provide heat, light, cooking food, boiling water, calcining wood to ash for leeching lye for the Reaction Chamber, soapmaking, leather production, etc.
-Water
-Electricity
Problems Addressed by this Project:
-Campfire ash and Aluminum cans seem to get left behind by humans in nature enough that they might be seen as a resource. In cleaning them up, they can be combined with water to produce lye water, and then extremely useful HHO gas in a way that consumes both ash and cans.
-Burning wood is still a popular trend around the world. Ashes can be collected and the lye leeched out, which is combined with ubiquitous pieces of Aluminum (cans, foil, siding, corrugated sheets, etc.) to release HHO gas.
-Sustainable electrical HHO production requires a working battery and recharging system. This project is designed around common materials, and lye can be purchased as drain cleaner instead of having to leech it out of ashes (while remaining a possibility in an emergency).
-Hydrogen-on-Demand can be made safer by: monitoring gas production and stopping when a certain amount has been produced, Using it right away, Burning it off using a pilot light, not pressurizing it, not storing a lot, and storing it at low pressure in solid state chemical bonds, using a pressure valve, preventing ignition by preventing flowback, etc.
Design Features of this Project:
-Reaction Chamber is balanced so that an operator must orient the system correctly to produce Hydrogen. When a pressure threshold is reached, or if the system is knocked over, the balance of the reaction chamber will change, and the Hydrogen producing reaction will stop.
-Being designed around objects and materials that would be readily available worldwide, including Aluminum cans, firepit ash, and normal water as the main chemical components. Unlike Electrolosys-based Hydrogen production, no rechargable batteries, distilled water, or baking soda are needed.
-Modules are designed to both add functionality, and process the raw materials needed by other modules.
Hey cool project, I am actually using wast aluminum to make Hydrogen gas for my hydrogen fuel cell.
