A project log for Real simple and cheap GPS navigation

Arduino UNO based GPS navigation system. Total cost below $25. It has 320*240 TFT showing the actual position on a map.

I now have the software completely running! The next step is to connect the GPS module and do some tests.

I hope someone can help me in further optimizing the sketch, it's about 99% of the maximum size for my UNO, and displaying the map still takes 1-2 seconds. That must be faster I think. I am a relative beginner with Arduino, so any help is greatly appreciated!

Other question is, where shall I put the source of the sketch??

i hope someone can help me reduce the size of the sketch so I then can increase functionality!

hi Mike, I know the teensy, but found it after I nearly completed the project. Besides, to me it is most fun to try and do the project with the cheapest hardware possible. I will put the software plus description on github one of these days. Grtz, Hans

Hi, would love to see your code, although I´m a complete newbie concerning programming...

Some guys here are using github for code sharing.

Do you know the Teensy3.1 ? It´s arduinoable, more speed, more size...
