I've combined a raspberry pi running OpenHAB with a moteino that acts as the RF gateway to other wireless nodes. Also this controls the power and battery backup to the RPi. Code for both the arduino side and the OpenHAB side are on github

The Mightyboost and Moteino certainly has. I used your sketches as a base for the switchmote and garagemotes but heavily modified them to make it easier to work with openhab. thats the side where things get funky. but little by little I'm making it work
