Description

This is a project I made using an early prototype of Cubit, a programmable platform I've been developing for quite some time and soon to be on Kickstarter on May 4th, 2015!

I took a CS-18 Nerf machine-gun and mounted it on a homemade robotic tripod. The electronics are controlled by Cubit, a programmable platform that uses visual programming along with plug-and-play hardware to fully automate the system. 3 servo and 2 motion sensors are used to steer and fire the Nerf gun in the direction of an unlucky assailant. The robot can be switched to manual mode, where the Cubit is connected to a computer through its built-in bluetooth, giving the operator the ability to manually pan, fire, and look at the status of the motion sensors.

Cutting wood pieces: 1 hour

Assembly of wood pieces: 2 hours
