If you're a diabetic or know someone who uses the Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitor and don't know about the xDrip project. Go check it out right now: http://stephenblackwasalreadytaken.github.io/xDrip/ You can read that, but in a nutshell - xDrip allows you to steal packets from the Dexcom transmitter and using bluetooth, send them to your phone and from there the sky is the limit(a webserver, smartwatch, twitter account, ha). If you do know about it already and have not or cannot put together the kit yourself, then this is maybe where my project comes into play.
The xDrip project requires you piece together some electronics to get it to work. Its a wonderfully creative project by Stephen Black but still requires a little bit of soldering skills to put it together. If I'm able to design a board with everything on it already, it could possibly save a bit of money for the user and also get it into the hands of those who are not able to build it themselves. I will also make a case.
Here is the 3D printed case I designed. It was ordered through Shapways. Turned out great, need to add a mm or 2 here and there for some nicer clearance, but it works as expected. LEDs show through as well. Its a screwless design.
Spot for USB charging, and a small opening for the on off switch. So it can't be turned off by accident, you need a pin or small object.
