Went to an electronics hack/workshop with a friend, made some new friends. Connected the SPI-SRAM and got byte read/write to work. Also realised that the SPI-frequency is a multiple of the CPU-frequency, so I can't get 20MHz, only 21MHz. Running SPI at 10.5MHz to be safe for now.
