What is the MCU? Pinout on breadboard (reset pin, I2C on display, power pins) looks like it's atmega328 or similar.

Messaging and radio - some kind of low-range messaging system? No bluetooth or wi-fi, so probably no internet/cellphone interaction. Sources don't reveal much magic yet, just display access.
