Alright, so for the nth night in a row (I say nth because I'm not 100% sure how many days I've been doing this), I'm going to get back to work on Python for a good while, and with any luck, I'll be finished with the Codecademy course tomorrow, which would be nice because that's when my book is supposed to arrive, and I can dive right in to working with Pygame.
As for the wait on the joystick, I did say I'll be honest and, well, I've been nervous about working on it; logically, I know I should be fine; this time I'll have access to tutorials done with the same thumbstick, and the button control shows that, aside from a little will of its own, I can control the servos alright. But, despite the logic, I still doubt myself... Regardless of that, I will let the logic win and wire it tomorrow, and see how it goes. All should be well, but if not, I can then troubleshoot. I think one of my biggest issues with the other thumbstick was that, once I ripped the controller apart to get the wires (the new thumbstick doesn't fit the chassis, by the way, so I'll probably make one with acrylic once I get back to school), one of them got disconnected. My second guess is that it's something to do with the length of the wires. But, we'll see how it goes and troubleshoot from there.
Anyhow, please take the survey. It's very short, and it will help me decide what features to implement in the software. The link is here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HKBWJSZ
Thank you!
