Over the weekend, I didn't have the chance to work on the servos, but yesterday, after wrecking one servo (after trying to solder some wires back into place, the integrated circuit just came off from all the heat), I've got three micro servos turned continuous with one more to go today.
After that, it's a matter of wiring in the controller, programming the servos, videotaping him in action and finishing the paperwork. As for making him battery powered, that isn't looking too promising as of this checkpoint; I did get a solar powered charger, but it hasn't been of use for the project so it's been happily powering my laptop cooler, which has kept the temperature significantly down. Due to the time constraint, focus on battery powering it will be reserved for the next checkpoint so that I can get the right parts.
Wish me luck!
