The whole idea I had earlier of robotics treating loneliness seemed quite limited of a goal (and if you know me, you know that I prefer broader goals; it gives me more wiggle room). My true intentions are up in the project description and details, and I hope this excites everyone following this as much as it excites me!
As for progress, I have soldered jumper wires to the thumbstick, attached RC car wheels to the servos, attached those to the base, put velcro on Kagaku's main chassis (so he can be removed from the base if the user prefers), wired the Arduino up and am ready to program come tomorrow. A more comprehensive description of progress will be provided once the video is squared away.
