While this plane can only carry one camera at a time it has better flight characteristics than any plane out there for the specific job of monitoring forest covered hills. It flies lower and faster and still provides better data resolution. It follows the terrain @80m to keep the data quality constant.
With the data gathered by the plane, the forests can be monitored at under 2 cm/pixel for growth, diseases, composition, damage after hurricanes and slides, illegal trash deposit and cutting. The same UAV can also be used for agricultural purposes if needed: planning and monitoring.
What did we hack to make this happen?
Airframe, Autopilot, Telemetry, Camera, just about every part of the system.
Why all this speed?
At lower speeds it is impossible to follow the terrain so effectively and precisely over vast areas as forests.
