The gear360 could sort of give you the feeling of being there, but couldn't get any details.
The total eclipse video got everything except the eclipse. Where the moon was, it was just a blob of white. After photographing cockpits in an airshow, it was very disappointing to find all the instruments were blurry beyond hope.


Thus began the quest for useful resolution. There are nodal heads which allow a human to point a DSLR in all directions manually, matching the nodal point of each. A better solution is a handheld mount which quickly pans the camera automatically. It might be possible with Feiyu firmware.
