A new version of the Rosace is being developed, hopefully for an exhibition in September.
The upgrade is significant :
- 25 fps instead of 15
- 200 LED diameter (instead of 120)
- Faster, synchronous (2-wires) LED strips
- RPi 3B+ instead of Pi B (v1.2 from 4 years ago)
- Introducing the 3RGB (de)compression algorithms (see #3RGB image lossless compression format)
- simplified auxiliary circuits in FPGA
- Multi-threaded programming (yeah! 4 cores!)
So it's a significant evolution but not a revolution, yet...
Stay tuned !
