I made up a 4 layer DSP board with ADAU1446 with 8 channel ADC & DAC for testing before I go for the main board ! Main reason being is that i'm unsure on the filtering required from the ADC and DAC , there is some RC to play around with and check before I go for the main full size board. I can hopfully hook this board up to the 4 channel Pre amp and then wire up the microcontoller to SPI on the preamp and I2C on the DSP board and test things.
This baord has a eprom that it can boot from , so maybe it can actually work without any microcontroller since the DSP has I2C. interesting option but if I want to record multichannel audio I'll need a microcontroler ! I think ? The board has a ton of digital IO and MP pins for digital audio IO. I've gone for fairly large 1206 parts so I can hand solder the board. theres jumpers all over the place so I can try differnce oscilators etc.. The board should tun off a single 5v supply. I'll try and make a quick video of this working with the 4 channel digital controlled preamp.
