The box showed up on my doorstep in Anchorage Alaska, It was packed so tight that stuff nearly jumped out at me when I opened it up!

Here is an obligatory image of what I found inside:

There were a few crt displays from old camcorders, a stepper motor driver kit, what appeared to be a few solar cells, a raspberry pi display, and various passive components such as resistors and a couple small EEPROM's. Also included were some blank PCB and hackaday stickers. The long usb cable appears to be a camera (no documentation nor part number) of some sort? There is also a hard plastic case inside that had some of the more delicate components inside it.

I decided to put in a parallel picmicro programmer, power supply for said programmer, as well as two pics to get someone started. Both pic18f877A. Documentation is also included with a recommendation for software that runs fine under current windows operating systems.

Back before I could afford a proper USB unit, which were super expensive back then, it served me well.... Hopefully someone else will get some use out of it :)

All packed up, ready to address and then ship out! Hopefully in the morning :)

@NTU, if you think someone else would find it useful or fun, go ahead (if there's room, of course). I'm not sure exactly what I will be contributing yet, though I have some things short-listed. It all depends on what fits in the box physically, and what seems to blend well with what's in the box already (though the second criteria is far less important).

Some of the things on my short list are lasers, radios, and unusual microcontrollers, in case anyone is curious.

I mentioned to @Benchoff that I lived in a good location to help the box rack up mileage, and he decided to let me have an early shot at it. I don't know where anyone else is on the list, not even the person after me (yet).

I'm getting more and more excited about the box getting to me, it's just 2 steps away now! There are all kinds of things in there I'd love to get my dirty little paws on, but don't worry. I'll be fair and decent when it's my turn. I'm planning on adding a HeNe laser if there's room in the box, along with some other interesting things.

Aww!  Now I wish it would have come to me after you ... I love lasers! I would have found something suitable to put in it !  oh well :)

Unfortunately, I don't have an extra HV power supply to go with it, so whoever gets it will need to come up with 6.5mA at 2600V. I suppose a microwave oven transformer could be used for that.

I have another laser tube if you're interested. PM me if you want to work out a trade of some sort.

@DainBramage I know what I'm putting in it, I got an 11v li-po battery charger from an old rc unit. Got some tv speakers, too but I don't think they will fit. Should I put a tv logic board? My friend used it in one of his projects for a drone he made...
