I've been hinted at this 43 years old project from Elektor:

It's exciting that this idea has been in the air for so long, and yet we don't see it widely spread...
A project log for Discrete YASEP
a 16-bits YASEP computer (mostly) made of DIP/SOIC chips like in the 70s and 80s... with 2010's twists!

You'll find this concept goes back to Alan Turing and the ACE computer in the 1940s. All the various architectures were pretty much all figured out by the 1960s, everything after that was just waiting for the technology to catch up.

You might be amused to know the CDC 6600 supercomputer has four arms, each of which has four leaves, which open out like a book.

TL;DR what are the specs of the Elektor computer, CPU, ROM, RAM, IO capabilities, video/audio out? BTW, the Elektor magazine still exists. One of the good magazines with lots of DIY projects and detailed articles, unlike e.g. the ELV magazine, which mostly wants to sell products. I remember my grandpa used to buy Elektor, I might have even read this article back in days :-)
