I ordered a couple dozen minigrabbers from ebay. These were fairly cheap but didn't come with either cables or pins attached. Since I have a ton of female to female "dupont" (0.1" header) cable i decided to solder a header pin to each probe.
It was really tricky to align the pin to the rivet in order to do the soldering, had to use my mini-vise and helping hand at the same time to hold the probe and pin respectively. After doing a couple like this I realized I live in the FUTURE, I can just print a jig with my 3D printer! And so I did! This was whipped up with openscad in 5 minutes, and printed in 15 more.
I used one of the dupont cables to hold the pin while soldering, that allowed me to do all 24 pins repeatably without the PLA melting completely.
