SPARK PHOTON rgb led HALL EFFECT SENSOR Wheel

Description

Image Simulation on wheel using Spark Photon and programmable RGB Led strips.
Speed of the wheel is found using magnetic sensors.
Fixed magnet is placed outside the wheel.
Two Hall Effect sensors are placed at the rims of the wheel, so that they can sense the magnet placed outside while the wheel is rotating.
Two programmable RGB Led strips are placed as shown in the image, and based on the sensor reading, and the time between the magnetic contact, the angle of the wheel is calculated.
With the angle of the wheel known, LED's are controlled accordingly to display the requested image or pattern.
An android app is written which invokes photon's cloud functions for turning on,off, switch images etc.
Images are transferred over TCP from the android app to the photon in the form of 50*50 pixel matrix.
This pixel matrix is used by the photon to turn on the LED's accordingly.
