I recently got a new Moire pattern. It was supplied by the Tkkrlab in Enschede.
It is a Moire pattern with a line-spacing of ~1.45 mm and a size of DIN A0.
Stay tuned for some HD footage of Schlieren :)
A project log for Schlieren-Videography
With this project I want to show you how you can make Schlieren-Videography at home. To do so we will use the Moiré-effect.

Very awesome! So now you can capture huge air volumes! Have you ever tried running some CV magic over the footage? I.e. for flow analysis or extracting the schlieren from the pattern?

I'm actually capturing the Schlieren with this and opencv, look at the next project log. A flow analysis sounds great, I will try it later! Thanks for the answer! :)
