I have a board of core memory that I'd like to make functional. I've found that an Arduino can manage that.
It has a 52x52 matrix; that's 2704 cores. And, it's double-sided -- so, 5408 total.
Ok, to do anything with this board, I have to find 'card edge connectors'. (I think that's what they're called.)
There are 26 pads over a span of 3". Note that I'm not counting the 2 on each end of those spans (because only one-quarter of them have wires, and they're separated a bit more than the rest). KIM that the board is double-sided (and, yes, the contacts are aligned directly opposite each other).
So, does anyone know where I can find such a creature?
Not knowing if it is Russian, US or from somewhere else, you might have to measure the pad widths and gaps then modify something from surplus. I have always wanted to mess with Magnetic Core Memory so hope to hear good things from this project :-)
