The displacer is made from a lightweight stainless screen and filled with copper dish scrubbers that will also act as a regenerator.
The Glass cylinder came from an old kerosene oil heater and insulates the heated side from the cooling side.
The heat-sinks came from a hard drive cooler.
This linkage is adjustable to: Set the phase between the displacer and piston to 60 degrees.
The whole assembly is a modified compressor. I have found many units of this style, they are not rugged enough for a useful compressor, but they do make good Stirling engines.
Here is a close up of the Teflon piston. It was machined as a dual cup piston to handle both vacuum and pressure. I used the existing compressor cylinder because the walls were in very good shape.
