Introduction
AirCore is a module built to provide out of the box WiFi to Serial connectivity. By using an FTDI standard connector, this tiny board is capable of wireless programming of an Arduino, and it can be plugged in almost everywhere. Also, it can stream real-time data to a website for easy display, or even to another AirCore module. All the setup is done using an admin panel hosted on the module itself, similar to a WiFi router configuration. This saves hours of programming and testing lost in the quest of achieving basic functionality. Also, it reduces the uC overhead to a minimum.

Use cases
There are subjective reasons of why I want this module to work, and controlling a quadcopter for my bachelor's thesis is one of them. Another usage it would be to do data acquisition for a linefollower robot in order to improve it's algorithm. It will definitely be used to control an infinity mirror, and turning on the air conditioner from the internet before I get home would be nice(even if it requires some reverse engineering).
Project goals
Inspiration
I copied or drawn ideas for my design from some places and I think they're worth mentioning here:
- Blkbox 4 layer WiFi ESP8266 module = pretty much all the BOM. I use this board along with the programming module for SW development
- JeeLabs's esp-link = transparent WiFi bridge and administration panel idea
This is looking very interesting idea and I think if you are looking for its online marketing then this platform is the best one for you.
