Description

The idea is to have 1k-pixel camera with a bright big pixel you can clearly see. Right, in all the glory of it very not HD, exactly 0.001 megapixel resolution.

The current prototype is running on Raspberry Pi B+, 32x32 matrix led module and Raspberry-pi camera.

With the Zero, the aim is to make a next step and build custom-made Led-matrix, leds of which can act both as a light-sensitive and light-emitting elements. Kind in a same way the first Lumiere film-camera was both a camera and a projector.

This covers the artistic research of screen-based media and it's limit. The initial idea was proposed by Latvian poet Artus Punte, and in current state it is collaborative project between him and me(Aleksey Grishchenko)

Details

Current version is seems working device, designed to be as simple as possible. It's build using common components, such as powerbank and 32x32 rgb led matrix. Some parts of enclosure are 3d-printed and front panel is CNC'ed acrylic glass.

Actual recording and playback are missing now, but will be added a bit later.
