Unfortunately this guy is a little handicapped. After discharging the caps, the circuit never latches back into "charge" mode unless the solar cell is covered and outputs no current. I probably fried the 1381...
Inspired by the controllers found elsewhere on hackaday.io. I combined a cheap eBay controller, an NRF24L01+ (PA+LNA) 2.4GHz module, an Adafuit Trinket Pro, a battery and a charging circuit. Who needs XBee's anyway?
I know there are kits all over now, but I built this myself before it was cool.
