Week 9: 4/1/2015 - 9pm PDT 4/8/2015
Some of CERN's experiments take place in the miles of tunnels around their labs in Meyrin, on the border of France and Switzerland. It looks like this image was taken in one of those tunnels. It's definitely an interesting shot! CERN's documentation for the image has been to history, so it's up to you to explain what's going on here!
Link to the original CERN image.
Add your humorous caption as a comment to this project log. Make sure you're commenting on this project log, not on the project itself.
As always, if you actually have information about the image or the people in it, let CERN know on the original image discussion page.
Good Luck!

"CERN: where the true and undeniable values of the Universe will be found in the void between the classes."
On the left we observe:
Boiler suit, hard toe boots, roll your own cigarettes, and an openly exposed skull adorned with receding hairline (not much point protecting this, is there... not with present unemployment levels and labour so cheap).
In the centre we observe:
Velvet suit with tailored shirt and tie, bespoke Italian shoes, handcrafted pipe filled with the finest Dutch blended tobacco, and the finest cranial protection device available (that's where the knowledge is stored, and we're told he's the only one that knows how it's all supposed to work).
On the right we observe:
The "isolement bon" or "good isolation"; this point is where the gap, or void, between the classes is at is strongest. The cosmic energies within the void will be strongest at this point, and by firing charged particles through the void it is theorized that the greatest mysteries of the modern age will be answered by a well attired gentlemen.
At CERN we strongly believe the answer to the question of life the Universe and everything is not 42, but there's no point having the lower classes getting uppity about it.

Dudley takes to his trusty pipe, when he realises he'll never play for Manchester United after the reactor leak.

Weirdly, the only evidence of the reactor leak was the shortening of right limbs.

Yes, Watson, you have every right to be incredulous, but it is elementry. Those two people we've been following are proof we are trapped in a toroidal universe.

Elementary, my dear Watson. The proton was obviously annihilated here.

Construction supervisor, Max, takes a big puff from his trusty pipe, inhales and then shouts from the bottom of his lungs: "FLUID LEAK IN ISLE ONE, I REPEAT LEAK IN ISLE ONE!" Then takes another puff, and calmly adds: "Bob, clean it!"

Now presenting, the pocket-sized vacuum-chamber, with good isolation flanges, axis manipulators, windows, secondary electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, ultraviolet photoelectron microscope, X-Ray photoelectron microscope, Argon ion sputtering. Only 1,800 francs, c'mon, it's a steal. And if you buy now, you will get a free Bob with the merchandi... Of course I work here, why do you ask?

Max! Where did you learn to write? Or should I ask, where you didn't? It is I-S-O-L-E-M-E-N-T. Don't leave letters out just because you... Why I think it was you?! Because, Bob is a construction worker, he probably even doesn't know what a pen is...

After he passed the fourth identical engineer, John suddenly realised the folly of running away from a malfunctioning segment in a ring-shaped corridor.

We did it, we created a time warp, and this guy from the 60's complete with velour pants just showed up.

Billy looked on as the James, the workplace bully, was about to walk in to Billy's electrified puddle of water.

Although the hard hat was marked "max" it still felt small on my head. However, as safety auditor it is my job to keep a lid on these things.

After informing my younger brother that the isolemen was in fact not "Bon" I paused to wonder, what's the purpose of these 8 inch wide impact resistant bollards spread 15 feet apart?

I don't know Bob, do you think we have a big enough band-aid to fix this one?

Wow, I guess there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Guys, did you see my protons? I think that they went in this direction.

This is Bob. Bob made a BAD ENGINEERING MISTAKE. Bob is going to spend some time in THE CORNER. Corners are not easy to find in a ring, so this is Bob's BAD CORNER.
