From MQTT.org: MQTT is a machine-to-machine (M2M)/"Internet of Things" connectivity protocol. It is useful for connections with remote locations where a small code footprint is required and/or network bandwidth is at a premium. It is ideal for mobile applications because of its small size, low power usage, minimized data packets, and efficient distribution of information to one or many receivers.

In this chat, we'll follow along with an MQTT tutorial to understand and get MQTT protocol working together.

OK, I don't know what's going on, but everytime I hit the join the chat button, it takes me to the messenger window and says that the conversation doesn't exist. I'm gonna give up in about 15 unless someone out there sees this and knows what to do...

I would like to use my RPi 3 to be a vocal assistant using the www.openjarvis.com. Because it are not always listening from the web but when just react (and activate connection to internet) when his name is called.

It means on this RPi 3 I also need it support a MQTT broker and I found that Moquette (https://andsel.github.io/moquette/) is a lighweight version of Mosquitto and may perhaps be supported in parallel with OpenJarvis. Where this last could use JSON stored MQTT received messages to give back some informations when I ask him (or following events by example when I wake up or come back home).

I do not still start anything and not yet known how could I extract JSON content to give it back in bash command to allows OpenJarvis telling those extracted informations.

Of course I also need a dashboard that may display continue stored JSON informations. What should be the more lighweight dashboard that should be used on web interface ?

I talked about JSON in place of a database that should be to heavy to be support on the RPi which already run OpenJarvis and this Moquette.

Could you please confirm :

1) it is in fact the more lightweight breaker which exist otherwise which one is the more lightweight ?

2) I may run both OpenJarvis and moquette together without any problem on the RPi

3) I also though to use this RPi as a face recognition (https://github.com/ageitgey/face_recognition). Do you think the RPi could then be able to also run this program with the OpenJarvis and Moquette without problem ?
