Thanks! I want to supplement my poorly implemented HVAC system with some space heaters and humidifiers in a few different rooms. Putting a Raspberry Pi with wemo switch in each room is cost-prohibitive and creates a management nightmare. Your smart mesh may be exactly what I need.
Well if you have any question about deployment, let me know and I would document it better. Before jumping in, maybe all you need is a cheap smart scoket, my marketing guy (me), will be unhappy here that I'm selling competing solutions, but an Sonoff switch is smart and cheap with wifi, no parallel network required. Custom RF mesh is meaningful when low power tag sensors cannot talk wifi, or if you have a wide range to cover and needs ultra cheap RF repeaters. The RF protocol is also lower latency than wifi.
Even in case you do not opt for the HomeSmartMesh RF network, you still can use its MQTT / database / webclient framework, I have them connected with a wemo switch insight to control and monitor power, but of course, hobby project and work in progress :)
Wow! The Sonoff switch does look much more affordable than wemo. However, I would still need to capture the temperature data for each room. I could do that with the #Home Smart Mesh right?
Sure, you can do that, not only temperature, but also humidity, pressure, light, even rgb colors of light (sunny/cloudy day). if you have any question, let me know, and I would add description steps.

I hope the Home Smart Mesh helps you for example to get humidity and temperature sensors in more than one place, automatically enabling and disabling the humidifier, optionally monitoring from a web_app even the power consumption of the wemo switch, I have it connected through OpenHAB.
