Hackerspace Details

CCHS is a community workshop run by an enthusiastic group of like-minded members, located in Hawthorn, Victoria. Visitors and new members of all skill levels are very welcome. The About CCHS page has more details. CCHS is also known as the Melbourne HackerSpace or HackMelbourne and is one of many Australian HackerSpaces.

1 × Laser Cutter 40W CO2 Laser with a 445 x 285mm bed

1 × Metal Lathe

4 × Electronics Lab 4x Temperature controlled soldering stations, 1x Desoldering tool, 1x hot air solder reflow tool. Oscilloscopes and Power Supplies. Large range of SMD component reels.

1 × 24 Hour Security System 24hr access with NFC security cards and 24hr Security Cameras.

Hey! I just wanted to give a bit of an acknowledgement to CCHS. My first foray into 3D printing was at their space in Hawthorn, with the help of the wonderful volunteers in this org, and I've now got a project up on here, that's an eventual evolution of that moment.

Aleksander: Yes, that's part of an original Cray X-MP chassis from the early 1980s.
