Manual soldering service in need
Nguyễn Phương Duy wrote 07/08/2021 at 18:20 • 0 pointsI am currently in New Jersey. I have 40 PCBs that need soldering. I used SMT service but they can only do one layer. I am bad at soldering but this comes with a tight deadline. If anyone has any idea on what to do, or any recommendation to manual soldering service I should go to, that will be a tremendous help. Thank you!

There are services such as JLCPCB and Aisler that do assembly for any of their boards, so you should be able to get a four-layer PCB with SMT assembly.
Whether or not the boards can be assembled on both sides I'm not sure on, you will have to check.
For my boards, I try to design them with only minimal components on one of the sides so that either assembly or hand-soldering them myself is easier :)

A friend of mine just built this low cost reflow device. It is working like a champion. Very impressive results.

You can contact any electronics contract manufacturer in new jersey and ask if they can do some hand assembly for you. They will charge you hourly for the assembly. Just depends on your budget and complexity of the number of components etc.

Connect with local makers. If you offer some reasonable payment, someone capable may be in need of some spare cash and help you out.

I am new in the US, do you have any recommendation for local makers. I have budget for the project, just need to deliver it in a timely manner. Been struggling finding local makers that can do SMD soldering.

Maybe try searching for "New Jersey makerspace or hackerspace"
