BASCOM AVR ? Anyone interested in writing beginner tutorials ?
w_k_fay wrote 12/23/2021 at 15:28 • -1 pointIs anyone interested in creating a written or possibly a video series on programming microcontrollers in BASCOM ? I think it is the simplest language for newcomers, but there aren't many good, extremely basic tutorials on the subject. The learning curve for microcontrollers is incredibly steep particularly for someone with no programming experience. As I program on a very basic level ( IF it works THEN I'm good ELSE I'm screwed ....level). I have found Basic to be the easiest language to work with, however, there isn't an abundance of painfully well documented examples to work with. If you are interested in helping to create an online resource for beginners please contact me.

Interesting to see no answer over such a long time.
Well, I haven't one either.
But an idea: Did already someone look at BACON (<http://www.basic-converter.org/>, which translates BASIC to C) with AVR-GCC (or a different cross compiler) instead of the native one? That would not only be an uncrippled free solution, but also easy to apply for other cross compiling scenatios.

Yes, rather disappointing. However, it only takes one or two motivated people to get the ball rolling.
