debug a mechanical pendulum clock

I was given an incompletely assembled Selva bare pendulum clock kit from 40 years ago. Currently the hitch is that the swing of the pendulum bob doesn't couple to the escapement mechanism so the clock doesn't "tick". Can anybody suggest a forum where repairing pendulum clocks is discussed?
