So I made a new youtube channel for my hacking / repairing / soldering / "german curse word tutorials" videos under https://www.youtube.com/davedarko . Thoughts and ideas are appreciated, I'm going to use this channel to showcase my projects in more detail and leave the other channel for private stuff like making music and vlogging and so on...
One of my recent favorite channels is https://www.youtube.com/user/rossmanngroup - a guy that posts videos from 20 to 120 minutes repairing mac mainboards - so entertaining! Favorite video so far:

Just watched your video with the nice filming rig, quite like your solution.
I'm also trying to find a good way to film stuff about projects, and seeing other people solve the same problem helps :) This is also the kind of stuff I like seeing on this site, just the little hacks and projects.

Thank you :) I thought about converting a cheap ikea lamp at first, but this rig seems more stable, although it could need a bigger base to stand on. Watching https://www.youtube.com/user/bigclivedotcom and Julian Ilett https://www.youtube.com/user/julius256 I thought a 'from top' one shot video is a good setup for stuff like this, with not so much effort of cutting and converting. My cellphone seems to handle video editing better than my macbook air and there are some interesting cutting apps I found. I'm not a fan of jump cutting every word, so I have to work on my talking speed and writing a rough script first.

Yeah, smart choice. I tried duct-taping my webcam to an ikea lamp. The tape let go and my webcam broke, after falling not more then 50 cm to my desk :( I would not call it a succes.

Just testing how "Like" system works, but I like your pages anyway.
