Idea for a new contest

For instance, an X-ray tube, Wilson cloud chamber, Geiger counter, transistor, or a scanning tunneling microscope. The winner will receive a 3D-printed gold medal based on the Nobel Prize medal. Shapeways, for example, offers this: https://www.shapeways.com/materials/gold

Suggesting contests to Hackaday won't go anywhere. I literally offered to fund one of the hackaday prize categories in the (at that time) upcoming contest last year, and after talking through the details they just never got back to me.
Their loss, but it seems like they're generally uninterested.

One would still have the option of initiating a contest independent of the HAD Prize. For this, a project page would have to be created, a jury would have to be put together and sponsors would have to be found.

t would be a great way to encourage people to learn about the history and development of physics, as well as to inspire them to be creative and innovative in designing their own apparatuses.
One possible challenge with this type of contest is ensuring that the apparatuses are safe and effective. It may be necessary to have some rules and guidelines in place to ensure that the designs are feasible and that participants are not putting themselves or others in danger.
Another challenge may be evaluating the entries and selecting a winner. It may be helpful to have a panel of judges who are experts in the field of physics to evaluate the entries and determine the most innovative and effective designsYou can see ideas like this as https://decortrendy.com/ it is idea for decoration and home decor.
Overall, this sounds like a great idea for a contest that could inspire creativity and innovation in the field of physics. Good luck with organizing it!

Thanks, but I won't be organizing that. This is a shout-out to Hackaday. You could call it the Hackaday Novel Prize. Maybe you could expand it to include Chemistry and Physiology or Medicine, but you're probably best off with physics at Hackaday.
