Help save a 15 year old video wall from Landfill!
gavspav wrote 11/15/2023 at 11:06 • -1 pointA friend has come by a load of video wall which after careful research turns out to be Element Labs Helix H75, released in 2007.

I can't find any specs or info about it except an article which says it can be controlled by several of elements control systems.
I'm wondering if I can get it to at least light up. No idea what the voltage is or the data protocol. Or anything..
Can anyone give me any clues as to where to start?

Element Labs was acquired by Barco in 2009ish. I found these 2 links on their page: https://www.barco.com/en/support/helix-g75

I looked through the Web archive for a while but couldn't find anything on this particular screen. https://web.archive.org/web/20090916193543/http://www.barco.com/en/productcategory/142
Note* This is for the HG75 variation
Hope this helps!

One of the links that turned up in a search, sorry didn't save it, was an article about the history of flexible video screens and mentioned that it was driven by a control unit fed with a video signal. Have you tried posting to EEVblog also?
