First project guidance
r.m wrote 02/03/2024 at 05:23 • 1 point(sorry if wrong location) I would love to provide support on projects but this is my first time on hackaday and I'm not sure how to go about it.
Would someone be able to point me to a project that is beginner friendly and possibly willing to give me advice and guidance?

I'm working on an idea of a "bike" with an aerodynamic shell around that can reach relatively high velocity with little power : https://github.com/nathmo/velomobile
Just open an issue with your question, idea, reflection. From a general point of view like "how does it work in practice on a daily basis" to more specific topics like ergonomics, how to control the vehicle, how to make it safe, the mechanical design of the chassis, finding good source material that is cheap and does the job etc
and if you want to learn stuff, my opinion would be to find something that interest you and go with it.
I don't know what are your skill nor your interest, but it might be anything, and you might not even succeed, but that's okay because what matter is all the research and learning of new things and technics you do along the way :)
here are a few things that I find fascinating :
- MRI and NMR (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_magnetic_resonance) aka look inside stuff and find what its made of
- Raman spectroscopy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raman_spectroscopy) aka use light to find out the atomic composition of stuff
- digital radio modulation (or how you send data from A to B)
- OSINT and data analysis, learn stuff and make prediction using freely avaible data like flightradar, the NOAA satellite, etc
- making Linux run where it's not primarily intended (like TV box found in the dumpster)
- Domotic, or how I try to keep my plant alive my monitoring them and automating the light and water
