What is the best and fastest affordable analog scope ?

Hello,

after a heart-shredding experience with a 11302 scope (found cheap on eBay then broken during shipment) I'm left with little money and no fast scope.

The 11302 is the fastest scope I have found, it's modular and can reach 500MHz (I got one with a 1GHz amplifier: 11A71 module). I don't care about DSO (unless it's an extremely expensive one, which I can't afford). And even 500MHz might not be fast enough as I start to push transistors in the GHz realm.

I'm sure there are analog 1GHz scopes but that's from an ad in an old magazine. There is a limit due to input impedance but at these frequencies, there is no point in 1M or 10M probes.

What should I do ?

* Chase another 11302(A) and hope it can see something at 1GHz ?

* Give up and settle for a 2467B ? (4×400MHz is still nice and the 2465 is a pleasure to work with)

* Find a >10Gsps DSO ?

* .... Design mine ?
