Micro tractor based on ebike/pedelec
Jens92 wrote 05/28/2024 at 01:29 • 0 pointsI would like to use ebikes/pedelec in agriculture as micro tractor. There would be benefits in price, accessibility and easy handling especially for small scale farming.
Now I try to figure out how to build new attachments or refit existing mini tractor attachments to ebikes.
Does anyone know about an already existing project like this or has some suggestions?

That sounds like a fantastic idea! Using e-bikes or pedelecs as micro tractors could really transform small-scale farming by making it more efficient and accessible. For your project, you might want to look into existing solutions in the realm of electric vehicles and agricultural attachments. Some companies have started experimenting with similar concepts, so checking out forums or communities focused on agricultural innovations could yield valuable insights.
Additionally, consider reaching out to local maker spaces or agricultural tech groups; they may have ideas on how to adapt existing attachments or share experiences from their projects. Collaborating with fellow farmers or engineers could also help refine your designs. Best of luck with your project!

Well, tractors have wide low pressure wheels and a low center of gravity and 4 wheels. Even the micro tractors have one to two orders of magnitude more power, mass, carrying capacity and pull strength than an ebike.
So I am not seeing how they can be used for the same tasks at all. You can probably build a nano tractor from ebike/hoverboard parts. But it won't really be using the same attachments and it would not look like a bike.
