Sourcing a handful of Capacitors
Greg Kennedy wrote 04/12/2017 at 23:35 • 0 pointsI have a few boards and PSUs in various stages of death due to bulging electrolytic capacitors. It would be nice to get in and replace them, but the trouble is I need qty one or two replacement caps. I am having trouble finding a place that
* quality (name-brand) capacitors
* for a reasonable price, and
* without a $25 minimum order or a shipping cost higher than the price of components themselves.
Trying to avoid eBay as this is precisely the sort of thing that gets counterfeited.
So, suggestions on where to find this?
EDIT: I am located in USA.

Not located in the US myself but what about http://www.newark.com/ ? 5$ shipping isnt all that bad or are you looking for services with free shipping?

Doesn't have to be free... My point of reference is always Digikey, which I thought used to charge something like $12 if you didn't hit a minimum order amount.
I just went through the checkout process with 3x 74cent parts to see what happened, and they didn't indicate an extra charge... in fact I was offered cheap shipping via USPS First Class mail. So maybe this actually is the best way to go.
