Wacom Stylus R-E?
RunnerPack wrote 09/08/2024 at 00:33 • 0 pointsThe world is filled with cheap, 2nd-hand, Wacom tablets with no stylus. Does anyone have the skill to reverse engineer one and make an open-source, DIY, universal stylus?
Does anyone have any links to R-E-ing efforts already underway, or any other pertinent information (tear-downs, cutaways, schematics, etc.)?

I found a cheap lot of five untested Wacom mice on fleabay, so, if I ever get time to work on this, I'll have some parts to play with. If I get anywhere, I'll start a project page for my findings.

There’s a growing interest in reverse-engineering Wacom tablets for a DIY universal stylus. While some efforts exist, detailed schematics or tear-downs can be hard to find.

Haven't done any work ourselves, but remember scanlime did a video series on them a while back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4AKwJERxOw
Could be a place to start?
