The Dragon Lantern
11/18/2016 at 22:55 • 2 commentsI'm sorry i was really lazy the last time but i promise i will add some new pages or Project/Logs soon. I had to do a little project on the behalf of my comrades. It is a Lantern which resembles the coat of arms of the town where i live. I got the Lantern and had to "hack" it.

Vacation - The Martian
08/16/2015 at 22:17 • 0 commentsI just returned from my vacation... at least i read Andy Weirs "The Martian".
I just take my time at the beach and read the book in about 4 days ^^
Many thanks to the HaD team for this recommendation.
https://hackaday.com/2015/08/04/the-martian-a-landmark-change-in-how-sci-fi-is-written/
The best part is, that Marc Watney is in fact a MacGyver who refuses to die, although he nearly kills himself a couple of times.
Respective to the Movie I'm looking forward for it. Did you notice, that the cast has at least 2 matches with Interstellar (2015)? (Which was also a great movie) I'm curious how close they can keep to the book... I think they could do a triology with all the content of the Book ;)

wool-gathering
03/24/2015 at 23:04 • 0 commentsStill not confident enough about new projects (especially for the HAD Prize) or continueing old ones :-/
wool-gathering [fig.] of new projects
- Decorative Garden Hydrogengenerator - Generates Hydrogen from unused Solar Power. Project cost about 150€ in Parts
- Decorative Garden Physical Solar Energy Storage contraption. E = m * g * h; with m=100kg, g = 10 m/s², h = 2m ==> E = 2000 Ws which probably equals 46 Ah @ 12V (My Solar Power Battery has 9Ah!) Costs? Uncertain :-/ In my mind is something like a small scale hydroelectric power plant
- Warp Core :-P
Is there also an unsunk cost fallacy? :-/ hmm...

Hmmm ... what about an I2C Port LED Driver IC?
03/10/2015 at 22:12 • 10 commentsUpdate 2024-06-13

Would it be that easy?
11/27/2014 at 21:01 • 3 commentsHmm.. sometimes the simplest solution is the best solution. But i have a disbelief, that it can be that easy.
The Task is: If The Supply Voltage is above a certain level AND the Light Level is below a certain level, light up a LED or an other load.
Theory of Operation: If the level at Pin 3 of the LM324 is higher than 0.7V (Diode Voltage) Output at Pin 1 will raise to V+. If the Level at Pin 6 is lower than the Level of Pin 5 the Output at Pin 7 will drop to GND. If those two conditions are true, the Optocoupler will get conductive ant LED1 will light up. The Parts are not the final decision, i just took some from the EAGLE Library ;-)
