The 'Configum' module

A full FPGA system in one square inch area

Similar projects worth following
This tiny module has Spartan-6 FPGA, full power for it (works from any power outside in the range 3.3...20V, and even generates 3.3V for external user circuits), configuration memory, 64Mbytes DDR, microSD holder, 24MHz clock oscillator, JTAG pads, reset button, 8-bit configurable universal ADC/DAC/IO port, and even four on-board user-controllable LEDs.

And this whole this is... only 25x25mm big and fits into a standard PLCC-68 socket.

Applications - everything from industrial control to soft-core modular computers.

Heh, someone took your stuff seriously : https://www2.hdl.co.jp/en/plink/xp68-06.html

Almost identical except the µSD slot. ;-)

Sorry for reviving the thread.

Well, that's the point of sharing in first pace :-)

Good luck to them

interesting but for emulator c64 or zx spectrum i need screen, keyboard and memory, power. No this is not completly solution. not for me

Configum-2 is almost ready for presenting now.
A game changer!

Stay tuned... :)

Interesting but... please create this same module but with few normal procesor. For example

one FPGA and 5 asynchronitious processor M0 ARM. FPGA sending job to each processor , managing memory io etc. This will be faster than arm M0 with 5 cores.

(look at Epiphany project http://www.parallella.org but asynchronic)

I already did. The new Configum-2 is already in the factory. What will be on it... I am not going to reveal yet, but it is going to be awesome! Just wait a couple of weeks.
Oh, and this current one really works miracles at my job by the way. A couple of great FPGA engineers achieved a lot of serious stuff with it.

Submitted the store page for Configum to Tindie, just waiting for approval. Check it out in a day or two... Thanks

How much would such a module cost produced @ 1000 pieces?

Around $60, I think

Any chance you can get that much interest for completed boards? (Or even 100?). It is a pretty nice set up! Impressive!

Now you need to make a new project page for your CPU7 processor ;-)
