This is my first attempt at anything related to drones/quad-copters. It also was a pretty good excuse to learn how to do 3D printing. Now that I am able to reproduce prints on a consistent level, I can move off of the stock XYZ firmware onto something better. This was just the project to push me to learn 3d printing.
3d printed parts done on a DaVinci 1.0a (stock everything except fillament) .2mm layer height, standard speed. Plastic used is WYZ ABS extruder temp 220 bed temp 95.
Body top, bottom, FPV mount printed @50% infill
Arms printed @30% infill with a second set printed @ 90% infill for when I break one.
Total print time (includeing 3 heat/cool cylces to change parts/color) 9.25 hours
Weight (lighter infill body 85.6 grams) (Heavier infill body 96.8 grams)
Still trying to figure out what controller and motors I am going to use.

FPV (unknown manufacture) Camera and Receiver with LCD
Ordered my remote (Turnigy 9RX Pro) and flight controller (CC3D with case). The remote should hold me over for a long while, now to decide on tthe transmitter and receiver. The controller may not be exactly what I'm looking for, but it comes close, and gets me flying for 12$.
It all starts here. The body is printed (along with a complete spare body with stronger arms). The M3 screws have been a pain to find locally. Had to resort to Ace Hardware. I will say the employee who worked with me to find the screws in their racks did a hell of a job helping look in all the little bins they had. Customer service like that does not come cheap though, but I do like having a place I can walk to for random screws nut and bolts for any project that might need them in the future. The FPV camera is from a buddy of mine, not sure on brand but it comes with a receiver and LCD screen so its a full system to start with. I have my remote picked out a Turnigy 9xr Pro. Have yet to decide on ESC, Motors or Flight Controller.
