Description

I'll be adding some secret compartments that open in ways I haven't imagined yet. Some of my ideas involve magnetic keys and solenoids holding in panels. I needed a bigger place to work and spend most of my time at the desk. I'm thinking about adding built in cable management and electrical outlets that can be controlled by the computer

Better to hold the panels in with permanent magnets and momentary cancel out the field by a solenoid to release it. This will conserve power. There is even a device with AlNiCo Magnets and a solenoid around them which magnetizes or demagnetizes them with suitable current pulses to give a bistable switchable permanent magnet.
