The workshop is designed for Android programmers, or those interested in developing the Internet of Things. It will cover BTLE from the hardware point of view, with some focus on the software to drive it, how to install the right modules, etc. The workshop will quickly move into PCB design, with a crash course in upverter. From an example schematic, each attendee will fork a BTLE device, add components like sensors and indicators, custom cutout and lay traces. Once finished, the boards will be fabbed on the Protolaser, and handed back. SMT assembly and reflow follow, and then boards will be tested and programmed.
The workshop is 6 hours, and you will design, build, assemble and test a device that you can connect to the internet.
