So evryone know about cctv security cameras and that they are expensiv as hell but what
some peopel might not know is that they can build there own cctv with only some part that are cheap and have some qualti(some i didnt mean that they are high quality).
So i came up with this when my uncel ased me to build him a security camera for survialenc at night as his working station was stolen some part at night so i thought and i came up with this.The firs question that came to my minde was why not i could just buy a wifi 14$ camera with a 3mp cmos image sensor but why not use a 10mp sensor for the same price and a littl bit much more for the parts.Affter that i had to finde a recording softwear and evryone knoe moviemaker(easy,free) but there are thousnds of other programs that you can use.
Now i wanted to make it a littl bit much more better and adding a night vision ir led wich i dind add to my but it was a nice idea i might add it in the future.

O right so this project was came in my minde when my uncel had that littl problem it did cam pretty fast.This project is based on the easy,cheap,factor so basiclly for begginers

Sorry for the bad English but i live in Albania and i am not that good with English.

  • 1 × Webcam 10mp(more or less) This is you basic comonent and this one you can find it for about 10$ one ebay
  • 1 × Usb ove Cat5 Cheap thing on ebay about 5$
  • 1 × Cat 5 cabel This is your choice but i dont recomend go over 50M as the Usb ove Cat5 cant handel it or get a better one.
  • 1 × Soldring iron Evyone that is on electronic should have one
  • 1 × Wire stripper This is just to stripp the cat 5 cabel not somthing special

    Step 1

    Getting the parts.

    So the cat 5 cabel wasnt that hard to get you can get it from any store that sell electronic or you can get it from ebay.I got my from a store for only 30 cent a meter.And the usb over cat 5 you can get from ebay or a electronic store but i dont know if they sell these in stores so yeah i got my from ebay for 5 $ (really cheap) you can get a much more longer one but that will cost you much more.Ok so the tools you will need are all in the picture you wont need necessary all but it good to hove sometimes much more.

    Putting it all together.

    This is fairly easy beacuz you just have to conect some wires and do some solderin job for the cat 5 cable and nothing else

    The recording softwear

    Now that you got evrything setup and ready to go you will need a softwear to recorde what you camera see and i used Windows Movie Maker but if you wont to use somthing else there are thousand of softwear but with movie maker it easy and you can capture images from the video.So yeah now that you are ready put the camera in a nice hiden place and hit the recorde butn on movie maker

Yeah i know but this is really easyto do its just project that a baby can do and its just to
connect the cat 5 cabel to the usb over cat5 thats all and i was ready to do the video for this but i orderd the camera and the usb over cat 5.The camera came safe and sound and the usb over cat5 came uh in pices it was broken so i had to tell the seller to send me new one so i am waiting for the new one and it will come in june

Isad, may I just point out that not all of us have the intelligence you possess and this is guide really doesn't explain anything in the way of details towards accomplishing this project to us internet layman.
